So, there we were, wandering around the site and the next thing we bumped into these 2 unlikely characters. Next thing we know we were transported to a strange place, surrounded by lights, smoke and wierd looking characters where everything was very unusual. Was it a close encounter of a third kind....actually no, we fell asleep and woke up in Stage 2 during the Festival session. arf!

But in breaking news - Cambridge Folk Fetsival has actually been awarded the 'Greener Festival Award' by the awards team at campaign and advice group www.agreenerfestival.com - here's what theys aid about the festival: "The Cambridge Folk Festival has made real efforts to organise a sustainable event and promote sustainability. We were very impressed with just how clean the festival was with excellent on-site recycling facilities, a good public transport policy and excellent plans to work with Julies Bicycle, the cross music industry initiative on climate change, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in 2009."
An abiding memory I have is when the green alien had to part their legs in order for a chap in a mobility vehicle to pass underneath. What a missed photo opportunity I thought and a very brave alien.
